Subscribing to the mailing list

When you subscribe to our mailing list, you consent to us storing your email address and using it for the purpose of keeping you up to date with the network. Attending events

When we organise events, we will let you know what information we will need to store, process and share in order for you to participate. Each of our events is unique, but we will only use the information we collect in order to manage and run the events we organise. Examples of how we might use information include:

  • asking for your name if you are planning to attend a pub social event, so that we can let the venue know how many people to expect;

  • asking for your name when you arrive at a talk or lecture, so that we can evacuate safely if there is an emergency such as a fire; or

  • asking for your phone number if you are attending an event such as Pride in London, so that we can coordinate the group of attendees if the plan changes at the last minute.

In all these cases, we will provide you with specific information when we collect your information. We will only use the information you provide in order to organise the specific event you provided it for.
