We are once again delighted to have been given a place to march in the Pride in London parade in summer. Excitingly, this year we will have a float! For details on how you can join in, please join the network mailing list, or if you are a student then please get in touch with the Cambridge SU LGBT+ Campaign or use our form to contact us. We will periodically send reminders to the network mailing list with a link to enter the ticket ballot and an email address to contact us for any queries.

This year, the march is on Saturday 29 June 2024.

The circular sign used to identify the University's group in the 2022 Pride in London parade. The sign has "Celebrating 50 years of pride in the U.K." around the edge and "University of Cambridge" in the middle. The left of the photo shows a mobile phone taking a picture of the sign.

The Pride in London parade is the largest annual pride march in the country, and is an opportunity to celebrate the progress we have made as well as protest against those who threaten our rights and liberties. It will be a whole-day event, with four or five stages hosting entertainment in addition to the parade itself. Even if you aren’t able to join us in the parade it’s sure to be a fabulous day out!

We will have space for 50 members of the University and affiliated institutions. As in previous years, we are therefore running a series of ballots to ensure that we have representation from all areas of the University. A link to sign up for the ticket ballot will be sent to the network mailing list several times over the next few weeks. We will also have a waiting list to fill any spaces which become available.

We are also looking for help decorating our float, so if you are at all constructive, creative, or just like covering things in rainbows then please contact us.

Pride in London prides itself (pun very much intended) on being as accessible as it can be. Their website has a section on the support they offer, but do get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns.
